Mclean county (25news now) – bloomington man fresh out of jail for refusing to register as a sex offender faces 40 more charges of possession of child pornography.

The illinois department of corrections (idoc) website reports that dennis covington, 51, was released on parole earlier this week and brought to the twin cities to appear in court on charges of possession of child pornography earlier this year. .Idoc records show that covington failed to register as required once he was convicted of aggravated erotic assault in 1995 in will county.
